So you are a Car Owner and you believe you have got all the Auto Accessories you need to look after your car at home in the garage, but what happens if something goes wrong on the road? Do you have the necessary car accessories that it will take to get you out of a jam? Are you prepared with having the right car accessories that might assist you should experience an unforseen breakdown?

Most people consider car accessories to be fun stuff like radar detectors, rims, car tents, etc. and while these items do fit the category, the car accessories that we are going to talk about today involve those that you cannot do without.

Car Tools and Accessories: Having the right tools in your toolbox should be at the priority of your car accessories list. You should purchase a small toolbox and stock it with the following tools:

1. Adjustable wrench: Do not go cheap on this item. You will need a good wrench that will fit any bolt.

2. Two screwdrivers: You should have one flathead and one Phillips.

3. A combo set of fuses: Regardless of what size fuse goes out, this kit will have one to replace it.

4. A pair of vise-grip pliers: These little wonders will hold onto anything.

5. Electrical tape: Use it to re-insulate an electrical wire and temporarily reduce or eliminate the leak from a radiator hose.

6. Jumper Cables: In addition to being used for your benefit, these cables may also come in handy to help another drive whose car’s juice is dead.

7. Rags: Rags are great for clean up or to deal with hot hoses, especially if you need to open up the car for an overheated engine.

8. Waterless hand cleaner: Self explanatory, as it helps keep your hands clean when finished working on the car after a breakdown.

Obviously, you may hope to never have to use this tool kit, but it’s better to be safe than sorry, so purchasing all 8 items on the list of car accessories is important.

Car Safety Accessories: The next list of car accessories that are deemed vital to having in your car during a breakdown have to deal with safety. Not all roadside breakdowns take place on bright sunny days. Perhaps when traveling down a dark road or when stuck in a line of interstate traffic at night, you’ve whizzed by someone changing a tire who doesn’t know how close they care coming to……. denting your fender!

The following list are some items to add to your car accessories stock. They may not be the type of car accessories that you would want to spend your money on right now, but you will definitely appreciate having the right tools should an emergency come up on the road.

1. Flares: They are extremely bright and signal unsuspecting drivers to slow down and watch for a dangerous situation. Never, never strike a flair if you smell a fuel leak.

2. Flashlight: Good for seeing under the hood or for signaling to drivers passing.

3. Safety triangles: Large trucks stopped on the side of the road use them. Space a couple of those reflective triangles behind your car, and the drivers in oncoming vehicles will be more alert.

4. Safety vest: Wearing one while inches from the road just may prevent someone from hitting you, or prevent a driver from suddenly swerving into another lane and causing an accident when surprised by your proximity.

5. Flashing strobe light: Perhaps flares are enough, but a battery powered flashing strobe is sure to attract attention and alert unsuspecting traffic.
