To get the attention that you need, your product and your sales approach need to be different, you need to stand out from the crowd. Whatever emotional tactic you decide upon, make sure that your audience feels that they are part of your story. The more poignant the message, the longer that people will think about what they have just witnessed.
The problem with using creativity in marketing is that most people can’t do it well. It comes out as cheesy or just plain out dumb. Sometimes it is over the top and other times its message just doesn’t make sense. The biggest reason for using your imagination in marketing is to form a relationship between your product and your customers.
Focus your imagination on showing what sets your product and company apart from the competition. Make sure that people are very clear about what it is you are selling. After all you are intending to increase sales; this will not happen if people do not understand your product.
Thinking of imaginative new ideas is virtually impossible on you own. Ask colleagues as well as friends and family for their ideas and perception. You can also use these people to test out new ideas. Between you, you are sure to come up with some creative marketing that will really work.
